Wildekeep was originally formed by a settled tribe of barbarians from the mainland, and over the years has become somewhat of a haven for those who dislike the more civilized ways of life. Often times Wildekeep serves as a sort of intermediary for tribal communities to deal with the Radrics, other times it is seen as a cheap knock-off of tribal society. The city is very communistic, with the only true form of local government being the Consulate, a catch-all embassy which deals directly with government officials from the Kingdom. Wildekeep is the second largest center of trade. It’s location at the choke point of the peninsula forces all trading from Iphitos to travel through the city. Because of this, the Radrics have many soldiers and guards stationed there. Originally the Radrics claimed this was for protection from the barbarian tribes of the west, but its obvious that Wildekeep is at no risk. Over 20 chartered towns as well as 2 cities act as a buffer zone between the war front and the peninsula.
